Cornershop - Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug

The third coming of these Arctic Monkeys, an album with changing direction from raw Pop-punk to Psychedilca as they themselves suggested. It’s between last year’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets and the early works of the Monkeys.

My Sad Captains - Here And Elesewhere

Debut album from Americana band My Sad Captains based in London, who formed in 2006 with the inspiration of bands such as Sparklehorse and Wilco. The band released their first two singles on indie labels Fortuna Pop and White Heat seperately (though the later was remained unreleased). My Sad Captains sounds both like now defunct Tiny Dancers and unexpectedly Mumm-Ra in some way.

Outstanding track: ‘Great Expectaions’.

We Were Promised Jetpacks - These Four Walls

Debut album from Glasgow’s We Were Promised Jetpacks, a band is heavily influenced by fellow Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro. The band’s signing to Fat Cat is like Maximo Park stay with Warp and XL first introduced The White Stripes in UK.

Outstanding tracks: ‘Quiet Little Voices’ & ‘Moving Clocks Run Slow’.

Wild Beasts - Two Dancers
UK: 3rd Aug - Domino

Wild Beasts, one of the stupidest name of a band, back with their second album. Two Dancers is experimental especially the falsetto tone vocal, strange enough to be unique. Along with Animal Collective, Wild Beasts could be more representive for Domino than Arctic Monkeys.

Outstanding track: ‘All The King’s Men’.

Noah And The Whale - The First Days Of Spring

Second album from London Indie-Folk band Noah And The Whale, who named after the marriage of their favourite film and its director. ‘The First Days Of Spring’ is released just one year after their debut, the band who once featuring Laura Marling and Emmy The Great as their members has produced the most heartbreaking album this year, especially those dark lyrics and moaning vocals both backed with heavy orchestra.

Passion Pit - Manners

‘Manners’ is the debut full length from American Electronica outfit Passion Pit, which formed two years ago. Following an EP late last year, here comes the album. The music Passion Pit made reminds us of the 1980s, with heavy keyboard and in the form of a band, great influence from New Wave.
